Stronger isn't better on vinyl plank

Most vinyl plank we get called about isn't being ignored. It's being mopped all the time. The problem is what it's being mopped with.

Too much cleaner, or the wrong cleaner, leaves a film. Shoes track dirt onto that film and it sticks, so the floor looks worse every week. Then somebody decides it needs a heavy degreaser or a more aggressive pad, and that starts wearing down the top of the floor.

A lot of general cleaning companies make that mistake. We treat LVT and LVP as their own kind of floor, with their own rules, starting with what the manufacturer says.

    Check what the floor wants

    Every vinyl product has its own care instructions. We go by those first.

    A neutral cleaner, not a degreaser

    Strong enough to lift the dirt and the old film, gentle enough not to hurt the floor.

    The right pad

    Scrubbed with a pad that suits vinyl plank, not the heavy-duty one meant for stripping wax.

    Pick it all up

    The dirty water and the old residue get vacuumed off, so nothing dries back onto the floor.
